Kendrick has played in Waikato age group teams while at school. He was educated at St Peters School, Cambridge, New Zealand. Kendrick went to
University of Otago .In 2001 Kendrick enjoyed a GAP year in the UK working in an English school. He also traveled around much of Europe on the now famous Contiki '01 Tour.
Currently he is playing for his Southland club side the '
Blues ' and is playing Centre for Southland in theAir New Zealand Cup competition. Kendrick Lynn's trademarks are his ability of good acceleration and speed and also his resilient defence.In 2008 he was selected for the New Zealand Sevens team taking part in the IRB World Sevens series tournaments in London and Edinburgh - which NZ won.
