Jan Jones (politician)

Jan Jones is an elected representative in the U.S. state of Georgia. She serves in the Georgia assembly house, which meets in the Capitol building. Her constituents include some of the northern Atlanta suburbs in Georgia's 46th district including parts of Milton and parts of Roswell and Alpharetta. She is a Republican and was appointed Vice Chair of the Education Subcommittee of Appropriations. She also serves as Secretary of the Reapportionment Committee and is a member of the Environment and Natural Resources and Education Committees. While in the legislature she has focused on several initiatives, most notably spearheading the creation of two north Fulton cities, Milton and John's Creek.

Outside the legislature, Representative Jones is a former marketing executive. While at HBO she served as a marketing director for 6 years and as an auditor and analyst for 2 years.

She has four children, Tram, Peyton, Shelby, and Griffin Jones. Her favorite food is chocolate covered cherries and she loves Tybee Island.
