Douglas Allen Foster (born 1952) is professor of church history at Abilene Christian University and Associate Dean of Abilene Christian's Graduate School of Theology. He has taught at Abilene Christian since August 1991. He was appointed Associate Dean of the Graduate School of Theology in June 2006 and served until the Fall semester of 2007. He also serves as Director of the Center for Restoration Studies located in Abilene Christian's Brown Library. Foster is best known for his scholarly work on the Stone-Campbell Restoration Movement.

Foster is married to Mary Linda Grissom Foster (née 1948). They have a daughter (Mary Elizabeth) and a son (Mark).
