Vikrant Rai

Vikrant Rai is an Indian actor. He starred in Indian TV serials 'Maayka' and 'Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan' which both air on Zee TV.

He plays a straightforward, dashing youngster in "Maayka - Saath Zindagi Bhar Ka", who is a singer in a club where he is opposite Ms Neha Bamb and Aarti Singh, while in "Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann" he was a soft, decent and kind hearted youth opposite Kshitee. He is a newcomer with a modest background. At the age of 24 he is seen as a fine and charming young upcoming actor. However, the actor has now left both shows and has been replaced by Romit Raj in "Maayka - Saath Zindagi Bhar Ka" and Hemant Thatte in "Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann".

In September 2007, Vikrant Rai featured in a music video of Agam Kumar Nigam (father of Singer Sonu Nigam). The song "Mere Dil Ki Hai Awaaz" is from the album "PHIR BEWAFAI". Vikrant Rai is currently working on his first feature film "Kya Time Hai Yaar" as a main lead with actors like Jackie Shroff, Mukesh Tiwari, Sanjay Mishra and Asrani. The film is produced by Sanjay Kapoor and Anju Rajiv of "Shri Omh Creations" and is directed by Shiraz Sayyed. Vikrant Rai has been offered a second film from the producer of "Naarayan Nila Films" tentatively titled "Chand Lamhe Zindagi", which wil again be directed by Shiraz Sayyed. Vikrant Rai is one of the three main leads and will be sharing screen space with two other newcomers . The film is an out and out commercial with a strong social message.
