Quixla

Quixla is a fictional character from the "From Dusk Till Dawn" series. She is the mother of Santanico Pandemonium, and is the High Priestess Vampire of the future Titty Twister. She is portrayed by Sonia Braga.

History

Little of this vampire's history has been revealed; but, it is known that she and the Hangman are Esmeralda's parents - even then, the story of how they came to meet is unknown. She welcomed the Newly's, a married couple, when they came to the whorehouse/inn, and shortly after, has sex with Mr. Newly in her hotel room. She sees her daughter, after being apart from her for 19 years, enter the brothel, whom she takes into her room. After Johnny Madrid and Esmeralda escape Quixla's clutches, she starts off the feeding frenzy by floating down the main stairs and greeting her former lover, the Hangman, who has come to retrieve his kidnapped daughter; however, he shoots Quixla shortly after the bloodshed begins. After chasing the survivors for half of the night, they are finally trapped by Quixla and the other vampires. Quixla, along with her ancient vampire mother, anoint Esmeralda to Santanico Pandemonium. Attempting to escape, Johnny and Ambrose try desperately to open the main entrance door, but Quixla refuses to let them survive. She then lunges at the two and as she does, the doors are unlocked by the Hangman (now a vampire). Quixla is killed by the sunlight, leaving Santanico once again without a mother.
