woreda s in theOromia Region ofEthiopia . Part of theBorena Zone , Hagere Mariam is bordered on the south by theDawa River which separates it fromArero , on the southwest byYabelo , on the west by theSouthern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples Region andGelana Abaya , on the northeast by Uraga, and on the east byOdo Shakiso . Towns in Hagere Mariam includeHagere Mariam .Coffee is also an important cash crop; over 5,000 hectares are planted with it.
