ulus (district) in the northern section of theSakha Republic ,Russia , centered around theIndigirka River . It bordersAllaikhovsky Ulus in the north,Srednekolymsky Ulus in the east,Verkhnekolymsky Ulus in the south-east,Momsky Ulus in the south, andUst-Yansky Ulus in the west. The administrative center of the ulus is the settlement ofBelaya Gora .The ulus has a surface area of 69,400 km² and has been suffering a steady decline in the number of its inhabitants. By 2002, the population had dwindled down to 4,750.
