Claudia Lynx also known as Shaghayegh is an Iranian actress, model and singer.

Biography

Claudia Lynx is an actress, dialect coach, model, singer and qualified translator. She was born on 8th June, 1982 in Tehran, Iran. Claudia and her family left Iran for Oslo, Norway where her career kick started with TV advertisements for baby products. Her birth name is Shaghayegh. Claudia Lynx got her first break while she and baby sitter were waiting for her mother, a dentist. One patient who was waiting for an appointment coincidently turned out to be Katrina Karingeborg, the casting director of a range of baby’s products, who was in search of a fresh new baby face. The director was mesmerized by Claudia Lynx’s persona and appearance. She finally approached her mother to seek permission for casting her beautiful daughter in a forthcoming advertisement for baby diapers. Her mother approved and Claudia became popular in Europe as “the most adorable diapers baby”.

At age five, she,her parents and older brother moved to Toronto, Canada where she continued her career as a child actress. At fifteen, she was discovered by a modeling agent and began modeling for clients such as Levi's and was also seen on countless magazine covers. Besides her acting career, Claudia Lynx took a keen interest in singing. When she was twenty years of age, Claudia released her first singing album called Shaghayegh which did reasonably well. The 5'10" Gemini gave outstanding performances in several American movies like Legion of the Dead released in 2005. Claudia plays the role of Aneh-Tet who revives an army of the living dead to help accomplish the divination that swears her all the powers of the Underworld. She appears naked in this movie. During time, she has become an important figure in the Persian community often being called the "Persian Goddess". Norweigans have little or no knowledge of her.

Other movies include Lady Magdalene, released in 2006, where she played Scheherazade, and released in 2007. She also played Miss World in the popular American television series The West Wing in 2005.
