Bleichert GMBH was a famous German
engineering firm.It was founded in 1874 by Adolf Bleichert and began to built bicable
mining tramwaysin theRuhr . With important patents, and dozens of working systems in Europe, Bleichertdominated the industry.He licensed the
Trenton Iron Works in New Jersey to build his designs in America. Bleichert went on to build hundreds oftramway s around the world: fromAlaska toArgentina ,Australia andSpitsbergen . Bleichert also built hundreds of tramwaysfor both the Imperial German Army and theWehrmacht .One 1907 tramway in
Chilecito Argentina is considered a masterpiece. Bleichert built systems inCzechoslovakia andRussia too.Bleichert diversified into passenger cable cars such as the
Predigtstuhl Aerial Tramway in theAlps ,coal cutting machinery and electric cars. TheLeipzig firm went bankrupt in 1937. It was re-formulated in the 1950s to make industrial conveying systems.
