A Day Out is a short film shot in Wales at the popular seaside resort of Barry Island in 2000.

It is the story of a troublesome boy who runs away from his family on an adventure to the beach.

The 9-minute film was commissioned by the Arts Council of Wales. It is directed by Helen M Grace and stars Nia Roberts, Richard Harrington, and Liam Donovan.
