The Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Day Expressway is a project of highway to be developed in 2007. The total length of this prospective 8-lane road is 55 km, connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Long Thanh International Airport. The estimated investment capital is around 18,000 billion VND (equivalent to US $1.2 billion). Once completion, this expressway will help ease the congestion of transport in Vietnam’s National Road 1A in the key economic region of Ho Chi Minh City – Bien Hoa and Vung Tau. The investor of this project is Vietnam Expressway Company. Work is scheduled to start in late 2007.
