Chris Ekstedt

Chris James Ekstedt (born January 12, 1978) is the lead guitarist for Queens of the Stone Age, and an ex-member of the punk band One Way Down.

He is partial to using Les Paul guitars, Ekstedt is noted for his chaotic and unconventional guitar approach, his use and command of feedback, and flailing his guitar wildly while on stage.

Ekstedt co-owns [http://www.rivalmedia.tv Rival Media] plays guitar in One Way Down (now playing in Queens of the Stone Age and helps work on side jobs with [http://www.buddyhead.com/recordings Buddyhead Records] .
