Shingo Kunieda

Shingo Kunieda (born February 21, 1984 in Tokyo) is a Japanese number one singles wheelchair tennis player who won the 2007 Australian Open as well as the 2007 French Open wheelchair singles titles. Kunieda is a righthander whose favorite surface is hard court. His coach is Hiromichi Maruyama. His training base is the Tennis Training Center (TTC) in Kashiwa. Kunieda likes to listen to music and likes snakes when he is away from the court. Kunieda uses an Ox Engineering wheelchair.He graduated from Reitaku University Japan and now works for Reitaku University.
