The SAR/SAC is an Assault rifle developed by Australian Automatic Arms/Leader Dynamics SAC.

History

The SAR/SAC was a contender for a 5.56 mm Australian military service rifle to replace the then-issued Lithgow L1A1-F1 SLR; an Australian-made, semi automatic-only version of the Belgian FN FAL, a 7.62x51mm NATO battle rifle.

The rifle was abandoned when the Steyr AUG was adopted for use by the Australian military.
