Jim McLarty

James McLarty, later billed as Jim McLarty to avoid confusion with another actor of the same name who was active in the 1950s is a Canadian-born actor and voice actor. He re-located to New Zealand in 1990. McLarty is known worldwide for his voice role as Broodwing in . He guest-starred on as a Styxoid in "Light Source (2)". He also portrayed Dr. Medland in .

McLarty has also appear, usually in small roles, in both theatrical and TV films such as "The Boy Who Could Fly", "Jamaica Inn", "The Tommyknockers", and "The Frighteners". One of his earliest roles was that of Horse, in the Ivan Reitman comedy "Meatballs". In the film, his character was pantsed during the famous basketfull game sequence, and later lost a footrace to Chris Makepeace's character.

McLarty also had a recurring role of Pankos in the syndicated television series.
