Antony Little

Little was elected to Norwich City Council as Councillor for Bowthorpe & Earlham in May 2006. He has lived in Norfolk since he began studying at the University of East Anglia, from which holds a degree. Little is a NASUWT Union Representative and a school governor.

After being elected in 2006, Little took the leadership of the Conservative Group on the council. He helped in the group's success at the 2007 and 2008 elections, at which the Tories gained both other seats in Bowthorpe (defeating Labour's Deputy Leader in the process), held one seat in Catton Grove and gained another. The current state of the parties is Labour 15 (-1), Green 13 (+4), LibDem 6 (-6), Conservatives 5 (+3) - change is based upon 2006 results.

He is a stout opponent of the Government's local government review (unitary) for Norwich.

Antony Little was re-selected as the Conservative Parliamentary candidate in Norwich South in February 2008.
