Unertl was signed as an
undrafted free agent by theGreen Bay Packers in 2002 but was cut and signed by theBaltimore Ravens . He was then released at the end of training camp. He was resigned by the Packers but ended up inNFL Europe playing for theFrankfurt Galaxy .Arena Football Career
Jeremy Unertl then signed with the
Las Vegas Gladiators in 2004, but was released at the end of the season. After his release, he signed with theColumbus Destroyers in 2005. After getting little playing time is Columbus, Unertl was traded to theChicago Rush after week 2 for Henry Douglas. He immediately became the teams startingDefensive Specialist and had a break out season. He helped put Chicago on a 3 game winning streak, and was named defensive player of the game in all 3 of the teams wins during that streak. He finished the season as the teamsMVP , finishing the year as the teams leader in tackles, interceptions, and broken up passes. Added 24.0 tackles, 2 interceptions and 7 passes broken up in the teams playoff run which resulted in the team winning its firstArenaBowl .External links
