- Blanca Island
Blanca Island is a Peruvian island located at 09°06'18.0 south and 78°37'18.0 west. It has an area of approximately 3200 m long and 920 m wide. Its maximum height measures 204 m.
This island is an ecological and tourist reserve of adventure conformed by a
mountain devoid ofvegetation that comprises the set of islands of the bay "the Ferrol". The northwest of the city ofChimbote to about 5 km of distance of the coast is located in the part. It presents/displays like attractive the way of the guano, thelítico forest, the fauna of the island, coves, defiles, etc.LIMIT:
*SOUTH: North Ferrol island
*NORTH: Hill of Youth.
*WEST: The Pacific Ocean
*EAST: Chimbote portIts relief is very rough, rocky. It is white in appearance due to
guano . The contours are very deep, especially in the west of the island.The island has no human population. It serves as refuge to some guaneras birds such as the
pelicans and thegulls . When taking refuge these guaneras birds in this place bring with himself theirtick s. There are also smalllizards on the island that feed on the ticks.In the environs are
wolves , in the borders of their beaches are found shells,clams ,choros ,maruchas ,crabs ,snails ,cochayuyo , etc.
