Tim Matavž (born January 13 1989, Šempeter pri Gorici) is a Slovenian football player who plays as a striker for FC Emmen.

Football career

Matavž started playing football when he was 6 and his first club was NK Bilje. He joined ND Gorica in 2004. In the 2006/07 season he was playing as a striker for ND Gorica, scoring 11 goals in the Slovenian competition and he scored the only Gorica goal in the first Qualifying round of the UEFA Cup versus Rabotnicki, which Gorica lost by 2 goals to 1.

An FC Groningen player since the 30th of August 2007, when the talented eighteen year old striker signed a contract for a period of 5 years. On September 26, 2007 he scored four goals for FC Groningen in KNVB Cup against IJsselmeervogels. He is on loan with FC Emmen for the 2008-09 season.
