"Bain el Atlal" ( _ar. بين الأطلال, _en. Among the Ruins) is a 1959 Egyptian romance film starring Faten Hamama and Imad Hamdi. The film is directed by the Egyptian film director Ezzel Dine Zulficar and based on a novel written by Youssef El Sebai. Plot

Faten Hamama plays Mona a university student who falls in love with her professor, Mahmoud (Imad Hamdi), who is also a gifted writer. Mahmoud proposes to Mona but her mother refuses and Mona marries another man and leave Egypt. Years later after she returns to Egypt, Mona visits a sick Mahmoud in a hospital.
