Idol 2007 is the fourth season of the Swedish version of Pop Idol after Idol 2004, Idol 2005 and Idol 2006.

Claes af Geijerstam, who had been in the jury the previous seasons, no longer wanted to be involved with the show for financial reasons. Two companion shows called "Idol Halvtid" and "Idol Eftersnack" airs on the sister channel TV400 after the main show. "Idol Halvtid" is broadcast between the main show and the results and "Idol Eftersnack" is broadcast after the results and contain an interview with the contestant voted of the show.

Unlike the previous seasons, the final was held in the Stockholm Globe Arena, instead of the regular studio.
