"Huberia brounii" is an ant of the family Formicidae, endemic to New Zealand. It is usually found in native forests, under leaf litter.

This species is poorly known. The eyes are rather large and convex. Length of the worker ant is about 3.2 to 3.5 mm. The antenna has 11 segments, the last being a four segmented club. The queens are wingless and worker-like. Coloration is uniformly rusty to deep brown.

Colonies are small and seldom seen.
