Ladigarh is a place 7 km from
Daltonganj . The seat ofproprietor s of Ladigarh Estate, the place has its own importance in the area. The people of surrounding places still love and respect the Ladigarh Family, which continues to live in their farm house, Semaria, amongst their very own people, a couple of kilometers from the Ladigarh Fort. Surrounded by lush green forests, which is hard to find otherwise, the place is also known for its rich wild life. The belt used to be famous for its mineral rich reserves but had in 1990's become infamous for "Naxalism". The area has however been largely peaceful in the last few years which exhibits the resilience of the peace-loving and progressive inhabitants of the area.The Estate of Ladigarh owes its origin to rulers of Manjhauli, (Uttar Pradesh).
