Thugg Life

Thugg Life aka TXL was a punk band from Marshalltown, IA, recording 8 albums from 2000 to 2005. Vocals by "Snuggles", lead guitar Doug "Huggaz" Wilson, Bass Jake Staron, Drums John "JB" Wilson. The band shot to stardom in mere months upon the release of their hit album "Tha Life." The band continued with a string of hits into 2004 whereupon they went back to the studios where they remain. There is rumor of a new album titled Thugg Life: 2 G's for the True G's that has been in the works since early 2006 with no release date as yet.Also, there was a rumor that the lead singer and song writer "Snuggles" died accidentally in 2007. Supposedly he wondered off in the Arizona desert while camping northeast of Apache Junction, Az somewhere around Aztec Peak. Friends of his said that days leading to his disappearance he was consumed with the idea of going on a "vision quest". Although his body has never been found, band mates say that they have not seen or heard from him since then. Friends and family remain optimistic, and drummer "JB" Wilson and long time band manager Eric "O-face" Osmundson were quoted on their TXL former website saying, "if he(snuggles) were to return, he would no doubt have the stuff it takes to write a great Punk album, if not, we shall drink to his memory and write his epitaph with our music". Currently bassist Jake Staron is working with another group, 3lbs of love, out of Cedar Falls, IA.
