Hotel Kazakhstan (Kazakh: Қазақстан Қонақ Үйі) is the largest building in the city of
Almaty ,Kazakhstan . It is 129.8 meters tall. hotel faces the mountains and the other side faces the city, although either way you could see mountains on a clear day from almost any view from the hotel. They also have a registration office. If you are a foreigner, you must register your passport upon your arrival in the
Republic of Kazakhstan . If you leave your passport in the registration office, you can pick it up after 1 hour and it will be registered.The hotel also has two eating areas. They have a 24 hour bar and café area which is also the room service menu. From 0700 until 1100 they offer a free Kazakh buffet upstairs for hotel guests.
The receptionists all speak English, Russian, and Kazakh, and some of them might be knowledgable in Turkish or German also. They also have at the receptionist desk a money exchange area.
