Henry Bocking

Henry Bocking was a first class cricketer who played two games for Yorkshire County Cricket Club in 1865.

He made his debut against Surrey at the Oval in August with scant success. Absent in Yorkshire's first innings he made only 3 in the second, batting at number 10, before being bowled by Mortlock in a match won by Surrey by 5 wickets in two days. His second and final game was against Kent at the Bat and Ball Ground in Gravesend. Both he and his team fared better, with Bocking making 11 before Bennett knocked over his stumps and Yorkshire drawing the game.

His services were not called upon against by his county. He was born on December 10, 1835 in Sheffield where he died on January 22, 1907 aged 71.
