Don Leandro Mbomio Nsue, born 1938, at Evinayong, Equatorial Guinea, is a sculptor and artist, one of the finest artists in Africa, and has been called "The African Picasso".Fact|date=March 2008

Leandro Mbomio is the oldest Senior Minister and Education civil Minister of Equatorial Guinea. Before being appointed in the new Government of Equatorial Guinea in 1979 he was one of the best artists in the world in sculpture many of his art masterpieces are in the best galleries of the world. In October 2007 Mbomio was nominated Ambassador for Peace by the UNESCO, he has several knighthoods including one from the French Republic for merit to art. He also serves as "ambassador at–large" for African Affairs of the International Parliament for Safety and Peace.Fact|date=April 2008

Leandro when he was in exile in Spain during the Franco period. He always favoured a Free Equatorial Guinea, and in 1979 he took possession by force of the Former Embassy of Equatorial Guinea in Madrid. When the New President called on him he left all for Equatorial Guinea. He is an African Partisan and has always been next to President Teodoro Obiang. He has dedicated all his life to Equatorial Guinea never for financial interest. He lives in Malabo (RGE) and he is the President of the Council of Science and Technology of Equatorial Guinea and organ of the Presidency of Equatorial Guinea.
