Rick Rose

Rick Rose (born July 19, 1978) is an American actor, director, producer, writer and businessman. 2006 saw the Universal Studios release of [http://www.badcitythemovie.com"Bad City"] , which he co-wrote and co-produced. In April 2007, his film ‘Hollywood’, the movie, was an official selection of the Palm Beach International Film Festival. Rose is currently finishing a documentary he wrote and directed, "Addicted State".

Film and television

Television

Rose started his television career working on the reality based television shows World’s Wildest Police Videos for 20th Century Fox Television, ‘Real TV’, ‘The Mole’ and ‘Murder in Small Town X’.

Acting

He began his acting career working as a day player on Passions and on the 20th Century Fox feature film Bedazzled. He was then called as a stand in for Ben Affleck on the feature film Pearl Harbor (film), but was later offered a three day extra role. On the first day of work, Rose was picked by director Michael Bay to be on camera in a featured role as a ‘Danny Pilot’, a job that lasted for three months of principle photography. Rose continues working on the stage and in film, including leading roles in his own feature films.

Schooling and training

For acting, Rose trained at UCLA, the Larry Moss Studios and with John Kirby as well as with world renowned actor Carl Weathers. After his study with Carl Weathers, Rick began to get into screen play writing. He also studied film at UCLA and was also accepted into the Directing program at the Art Center College of Design. Although he accepted admission, he ended up not attending choosing instead to make two films (the first of which became [http://www.hollywood-themovie.com "Hollywood" (the Movie)’] .
