Vairag

Vairag is a developed village in Barshi Taluka of Solapur District in Maharashtra, India. The village is located centrally between Solapur District and Tehsil Barshi.

Its population is approximately 25,000 as per 2001 census.

Vairag is full of ancient temples. It is very famous for its Aadat Bazar. During the Nizam regime it was a great marketplace. The first Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru also visited the village.

Santhnath maharaj is the gram daivat of vairag village. Carnival of this village starts in the month of August(11 - 17).
