One of the known warrant rulers or chief in the history of Amatta was Eze Nduagwuike Asiegbu. He was installed the warrant ruler of Amatta in 1924 by the British colonial masters. Amatta is one of the 15 towns in the Ikeduru Local Government of Imo State. It is made up of 3 major villages Obinnekele, Umuezekom and Umuohia. These 3 villages in the order of listing are sons of same ancestry.
