Breda Royal Beer

"Breda" is a lager that was produced at the Dommelsch Brewery, The Netherlands, by Inbev, and exported to only a handful of locations worldwide, most notably the Channel Islands. Taste

The lager is tangy on the nose, and renowned for its bitter, herby aftertaste. It has an alcoholic strength of 5%.

Distribution in the Channel Islands

Randalls Brewery is the exclusive agent for Breda in Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and Herm, whilst a separate company, Randalls Vautier handle Jersey distribution.The lager was formerly imported by sea from Rotterdam. In 2008, Randalls obtained a license to produce the beer on Guernsey.

Breda in Channel Island Culture

Breda had been brewed and branded exclusively for the Channel Islands for over 60 years. It is served in many of the islands' bars and restaurants, and is immensely popular with locals of all ages. It is notorious for its intoxicating effect on the uninitiated after an average of only four pints.
