- Guldara District
Guldara District is located in the northwestern part of
Kabul Province inAfghanistan . It has a population of 10,000 people, including new returnees (2002 officialUNHCR est.). Around 50% areTajiks and 50%Pashtuns . Parvan Province to the west,Istalif District to the north, Qarabagh, Kalakan and Mir Bacha Kot districts to the east, andShakardara District to the south. Itsheadquarter isGuldara , which is a village in the norteastern part of the district. The Guldara district was part of Shakardara district untilBurhanuddin Rabbani 's government. Almost the whole district is destroyed. It is small district with isolated villages. Main villages near the main road to Kabul are destroyed.References
