Grapevine High School is a public secondary school at 3223 Mustang Drive in Grapevine, Texas, United States. The school is a part of the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District.

GHS is located in the northeast region of Tarrant County.

GHS was established in the late nineteenth century by a group of settlers in Grapevine, Texas. The school had its first graduating class in 1907 and is currently celebrating its 100th year as a public school.

Notable alumni

* Bruce Channel: Singer, known for his hit single "Hey Baby" most recently featured on the Dirty Dancing Soundtrack. The song is played by the high school marching band at most football games.
* Norah Jones (went to GHS but graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts): Singer, known for her five-time Grammy winning album "Come Away with Me".

Football

In the 2008 football season, Grapevine will be facing the defending State Champions Trinity High School during the regular season.

Grapevine won the state 4-A championship in 1996 and 1998.

2008 Valedictorian Controversy

In May 2008, Grapevine High School student Anjali Datta was denied valedictorian status by the Grapevine-Colleyville school district despite earning a record GPA of 5.898 because ISD board policy was worded to only allow the honor to be distributed to those who finished school in four years - Datta completed three.
