Rangila Ram Rao

Rangila Ram Rao is the present "Minister of State for Excise and Taxation", Himachal Pradesh. He was born on 10 April, 1946 at Gopalpur, district Mandi. He is the native speaker of Hindi and English. He has done B.A. and LL.B. He had worked as an advocate and is now a political Worker.

He used to be an active political worker during his college years. As an advocate Rangila Ram Rao provided free and legal aid to the poor.

He was elected as the Member of State Legislative Assembly first in 1972. He was then re-elected in 1977, 1982, 1985, 1993, 1998 and 2003. He remained "Chief Parliamentary Secretary" between the time period of 1980 to 1982. He was appointed as the Minister of State for Excise and Taxation from 1982 to 1985 and Industries Minister from 1993 to March, 1998.
