Trivia

"Stranger In A Strange Land" contains one of the early uses of the Moog synthesizer on a pop recording. Leon Russell called in engineer Terry Manning, who had just studied this early commercial synthesis under inventor Robert Moog in Trumansburg, NY., to introduce him to this new technology. Other early rock users were George Harrison of The Beatles and Mickey Dolenz of The Monkees. Eric Clapton plays guitar on "Alcatraz" and "Beware Of Darkness". "Stranger In A Strange Land" was also covered by Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen on the album "Flying Dreams".
