James Heatley is the drummer of rock band The Answer.

The Answer have supported the biggest names in rock including The Rolling Stones, The Who, Aerosmith, Whitesnake as well as their own sold out tours in the UK and throughout Europe.

He also previously performed on tour with one of Ireland's most successful rock bands Ash with whom he is good friends.

James grew up in Belfast, before moving to Downpatrick, Co. Down where he started playing drums in numerous local acts.He studied psychology at the University of Ulster and prior to turning professional musician he was a researcher and writer in charge of the website and publication for Irelands most visited tourist attraction 'The Giants Causeway' and has a vast knowledge of the people and places of the island of Ireland.
