Vanja Džaferović (born 19 March 1983) is a Bosnian and Croatian footballer currently (as of January 2008) playing for Lokomotiv Sofia as a defender. Born in Bosanski Brod, Bosnia and Herzegovina, he moved with his family at the age of 10 to Croatia.

Career

Vanja began his career in the local NK Zagreb. In June 2002, he transferred to HNK Segesta from Croatian town Sisak. In july 2005 signed with bulgarian club Beroe Stara Zagora. In this team he played very strongly. Dzaferović is a first captain stranger for all years in Beroe. But after big financeal crisis at the club he rejected a new contract and has signed with Lokomotiv Sofia.
