Galashki ambush was the first combat incident in the Russian Republic of Ingushetia linked to the Second Chechen War.

Only three out of 22 Russian soldiers (two of them wounded) survived the May 11, 2000, ambush of their two-lorry convoy returning from Chechnya. The attack took place near the village of Galashki south of capital Nazran, about 20 kilometers from the border with Chechnya.
