Lee Matthews (born January 16, 1979 in Middlesbrough) is an English footballer who plays as a striker, currently plays for Livingston in the Scottish First Division.

Matthews began his career with Leeds United, and was part of the same generation of youth team players as Paul Robinson, Jonathan Woodgate, Alan Smith and others. He made four appearances for Leeds' first-team, but was allowed to join Bristol City for £100,000 in 2001.

His City career started fairly promisingly, but injury struck in September 2002, and he struggled to regain his first-team place after recovering. After a few loan spells, he moved on to Port Vale in 2004, before joining Crewe Alexandra two years later. He struggled to break into the first-team at Gresty Road, all of his ten appearances coming from the bench, and he left the club after one season.

He joined Livingston on August 16, 2007.
