This is an archive of over 3,500 arrangements for jazz bands and theater orchestras.
The purpose of the band is to preserve classic jazz from the 1910s, 20's, 30's 40's This is a "Little Big Band" and has 10 musicians as follows: 2 alto saxophones, tenor saxophone, trombone, trumpet, piano, guitar, bass, drums and singer.
The band has held over 155 recording sessions and has performed throughout the USA.
American music from the early 1900s is in danger of disappearing forever if not preserved.
Songwriters write a song, but, organizing it for a jazz group is the job of an "arranger". The arranger must write down separate parts for each instrument. When played together, the result is amazingly unique depending on the vision of the arranger.
