- Emerald City (magazine)
Emerald City was a
science fiction fanzine published in print and on theinternet byCheryl Morgan . She had assistance fromKevin Standlee and Anne Murphy. Morgan began publishing "Emerald City" in September1995 , and the magazine contained numerous reviews of books and reports on the current state ofscience fiction fandom . The vast majority of the published material was written by Morgan herself, though several guest writers also contributed. Ending its run in November2006 , the 'zine was published on a remarkably regular monthly schedule, Morgan having produced a total of 134 issues, all of which are still available for download in multiple formats. Morgan also maintained a popular weblog with current news related toscience fiction andfantasy writing and publishing.In

August 1 ,2006 , Morgan announced on her weblog that "Emerald City will be ceasing publication over the next couple of months." Subsequently, the September 2006 issue (number 133) was described on Morgan's email list as "The final(-ish) edition." A last issue, number 134, was published in November, 2006.
