Aram Bakshian, Jr is a native
Washingtonian and currently is Editor in Chief of the "American Speaker". He started his career as a speech writer forChattanooga CongressmanBill Brock during the1960s . He later wrotespeeches for thenRepublican National Committee Chairman SenatorBob Dole . Bakshian then worked in theWhite House underPresident Richard Nixon until hisresignation . Aram was one of the onlyspeechwriter s kept onstaff whenVice President Gerald Ford Jr assumed thePresidency . He then went on the lecture circuit as well as becoming a Senior fellow at theJohn F. Kennedy school ofpolitics atHarvard before being brought back forWhite House service.President Ronald Reagan brought Aram on as his director of speech writing for a couple of years during his first term. Mr. Bakshian to this day lends his vast knowledge of history and love ofpolitics by continuing tolecture . He has authored a number ofbooks and has also edited many best sellers.
