GodTube is a free video sharing website, similar to YouTube, but which specializes in Christian-themed videos. In particular, GodTube has been compared to Conservapedia, a Christian conservative encyclopedia opposed to Wikipedia; MyChurch, a Christian version of MySpace; and Muxlim, a Muslim social networking site. GodTube was launched in the Spring of 2007 by Christopher Wyatt from Los Angeles, California, Dr. Mike Miller (former Executive Pastor of First Baptist Dallas), Lloyd Chartrand (former CEO of Mentura, Inc.), Michael Riddell (former EVP of New Product Development at Spark Networks), and Jason Martell (creator of Xfacts). Wyatt was at one time an online student at Dallas Theological Seminary. Christopher Wyatt was formerly one of CBS's producers for the 1995 "Day and Date" show. GodTube is privately funded by investors, including Norm Miller of Interstate Batteries. Wyatt, a member of First Baptist Church of Dallas [ [http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21582372/ Christians tuning into thriving GodTube.com] "Matt Curry" MSNBC November 2007] , has likened the site to neutral "Switzerland", in that he claims it is open to all theological viewpoints. He has stated that even atheists are welcome as long as they state their case "respectfully". The terms of use, however, prohibit any content "contrary to the evangelization of Jesus Christ and His teachings, or constitutes blasphemy, or is otherwise offensive to our online Christian community". [ [http://www.godtube.com/terms.php GodTube.com - Term's And Conditions] ] The site does include videos attacking non-Baptist religions, including videos entitled "Why Pentecostalism is not of God," "Mormonism exposed," and "The papacy is NOT biblical." In 2007, Christian Russ Seehafer posted a video criticizing the site as founded on hubris and theological arrogance, saying that “It is beyond me how anyone can claim to be so down with our maker that they are able to slap his approval on anything they deem 'Christian'.” The video appeared on the front page of the site and was subsequently removed. It was later reinstated with a comment from GodTube's CEO, defending the site and specifically mentioning the presence of pornography on more mainstream video sharing sites.
As of September 2008, the [http://www.godtube.com/view_video.php?viewkey=f768e1ebee3edde01ea7 video] was no longer available.

According to comScore GodTube was the fastest growing website for the month of August, 2007. cite web |url=http://mashable.com/2007/09/18/godtube-comscore |title=GodTube Named August’s Fastest Growing Site |accessdate= 11-04-2007|author= Kristen Nicol|date=September 21, 2007|publisher=Mashable]
