Hassan Shamaizadeh

Hassan Shamaizadeh (Born in Isfahan) is a pioneering Iranian pop singer, woodwind player, and songwriter.

At the early age of 13 Shamaizadeh played in a theatre orchestra in Esfahan. He has then performed in Tehran radio and television programming.

He has composed a massive collection of over 600 songs, 150 of which were hits. He became one of the biggest hit making songwriter in Iran, writing hits for some prominent artists. Most notably, he wrote several songs recorded by Iran's celebrated pop stars like Leila Forouhar, Ebi, Dariush, Googoosh, Songs like the 1973 epic ballad "Jaddeh" and 1974's "Kooh".

He continued with ground breaking hit records like "Aghaaghi" from 1976. He was chosen the most popular male performer in 1976 by the readers on the "Zan -e Rooz" magazine.
