Girolamo Bonini (active 1660, died
1680 ) was an Italian painter of theBaroque period, active mainly inBologna . Also known as "L'Aconitano" due to his natal city ofAncona . He was the pupil of the painterFrancesco Albani . He painted a "Christ adored by angels, St. Sebastian, and St. Bonaventure" owned by theLouvre museum in Paris. Bonini was part of a team, includingLorenzo Pasinelli ,Luigi Scaramuccia , and Giovanni MariaBibiena , working underCarlo Cignani in the decoration of the "SalaFarnese " of the city hall of Bologna.References
