Russell studied film production at the Panico Film Studios [http://www.panicofilms.com] in London. His first film "Burn" which he wrote, produced and directed was a low budget drama shot on
DV starringAndrew Lancel and Miranda Pleasence. He was then commissioned to write one of four monologues that would comprise the stage play "Clubland". His monologue was entitled "Working Class Nero" and centered around a lovelorn nightclub owner. "Clubland" was performed at theSalisbury Playhouse in 2001.Following the success of "Clubland" his second commission was "Cool Blokes: Decent Suits" a short comedy about male vanity and a pair of mismatched gangsters. The play was first performed at The Old Red Lion Theatre in
Islington ,London in 2002. A sequel entitled "Suits 2 - Back From The Cleaners" followed in 2003 and the two plays were performed back to back at theSalisbury Playhouse.His second film was an adaptation of 'Cool Blokes: Decent Suits' and was filmed in 2003.
His most recent play "The Seventeenth Valentine" was performed at The White Bear Theatre in
Kennington ,London . His next play "Freestate" will be performed inLondon in 2008.External links
