Irumbai

Irumbai is a village situated next to Auroville in Tamil Nadu. It is famous for its ancient temple. It is situated nearly 10km from pondicherry. Its very famous for the lord shiva temple situated there namely Magakaleswarar, MagaKalanathar and goddess MathuraSundaraNayagi,Kuil Mozhiyammai. This temple has ancient records written by Thirugnanasambantha swamigal.

How to reach This shivasthalam temple is located 9 km from Pondichery on the Pondichery - Tindivanam bus route. Another Paadal petra Sthalam Tiruarisili is located at a distance of 5 km to the north-west of this sthalam.
