Gregory A. Biscone

Brigadier General Gregory A. Biscone is Deputy Director of Operations, U.S. Central Command. MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. He is responsible to USCENTCOM's commander on all matters pertaining to strategic and operational employment of assigned forces as well as the conduct of joint and combined combat operations. He is also responsible for the coordination of all aspects of operations, to include air, ground, naval, and special operations forces in the USCENTCOM area of responsibility.

Background

General Biscone entered the Air Force in 1981 as a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy. His assignments include instructor duty and wing command in the B-52; squadron and group command in the B-2; a tour in advanced systems acquisition; and service as aide to the Commander of Air Combat Command. He also led the Joint Staff's Force Integration Branch and directed the Headquarters U.S. Executive Secretariat. General Biscone commanded expeditionary B-52 forces in operations Desert Storm and Enduring Freedom, and executed long-range B-2 missions in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Prior to his current assignment, he was Assistant Director of Air and Space Operations, Headquarters ACC, Langley AFB, Virginia.
