Aaron Colbourne (born 8 October 1984) is the creative force behind Toronto noise-rock band 83 Floating Cubes. Although categorized as noise-rock, it's hard to define the band with just one genre, as he molds Noise with Metal, Grind, IBM, Aggrotech, and Industrial all into his own unique blend of music.

83 Floating Cubes is Aaron as the sole member (as in Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails), providing and recording all the guitar, vocals, bass, drums, synth, piano, arranging, editing, and all production.

He primarily plays guitar which he began playing at the age of nine. He was never formally taught, but has accumulated several playing techniques that others find hard to reproduce such as his use of extended technique, very fast alternate picking and tremolo picking, and use of guitar pedals. He has a vast collection of guitar effect pedals (now over 18 individual pedals), which he uses to create his unusual sound. He is known for his avant-garde playing style, frantic on-stage presence - constantly moving and jumping, use of slides and pick scratches, very fast foot-work with his guitar pedals, which usually involves using more than one pedal (up to 4 at once) and fast paced guitar "attacks", but can play more traditional styles. He favors the SG model of guitars, whether it be Gibson or Epiphone. He currently plays a heavily modified Ephiphone G-400 SG. The modifications include new pickups, killswitch, new tone and volume pots, new toggle switch (pickup selector), upgraded tuners, and Gibson speed knobs. Aaron uses Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings (gauges .009 - .042) strung backwards through the bridge flipping up and over the stop bar. He primarily uses open G and drop C tunings on most songs, however he has been known to play in tunings such as Drop B, Open C, as well as Standard E and Drop D. He uses all the aforementioned tuning on the album he is currently recording. He is influenced by guitarist Agata of Melt Banana, Mike Patton (and all his projects), Tom Morello, Shellac (band), and The Melvins, Trent Reznor, Fugazi, Rocket From The Crypt, Tub Ring, Nomeansno, Drive Like Jehu, and other various grindcore/metalcore, and Noise-rock bands.

He is currently recording an album called "Anathema (You Shouldn't Be Hearing This)" which will contain 38 tracks ranging from under 30 seconds in length to over 4 minutes (and one song over 20 minutes).
