1981 - 1987 the race was known as the "Great Western Plate"
1988 - 1989 the race was known as the "Carrington Blush Plate"
1990 - 2000 the race was known as the "Angus Brut Classic"
2001 onwards the race has been called the "Yallambee Classic".
